Does A Dog Bite Causing Fingertip Lumps With Coldness Need Rabies Vaccination?

hi doctor i was recently just slightly bit by my friends dog at the weekend the dog did not pierce the skin fully on my finger but it left its teeth marks. I have noticed tiny little white bumps appearing on the tips of my fingers on my right hand only and i have like a cold feeling on my hand at the moment. Is this just a coincidence and nothing is wrong. Thank you for taking the time to read this

Thank you for query.As the dog is pet dog usually they would have immunised if so you need not worry.if not The risk though is not very severe we have to treat with vaccination as rabies is always over treated than under treated.First cleaning the local area with running water and soap is most important.So you need to consult your doctor for getting vaccinated.You can get back to me for any clarifications .Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and community medicine specialist
