Does A Dog Bite Need A Rabies And Tetanus Injection?
I was bitten by my dog about 30 min ago. It is more of a haematoma than a wound, but the teeth did scrape me and there were a few drops of blood. Should I get tetanus and rabies injections?
I am 55years old, 1.62m tall and weigh 80 kilos. no important medical history.

first thing you have to do is primary care. wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water. never bandage it. never attempt to sutre it. immeadiately consult the nearby hospital. you should start both tetanus and rabies injection. even though it is more of hematoma but few drops of blood are came out that means the teeth had gone deeper into wound. definately saliva are mixed into the wounds. so starting of tetanus and rabies injections are necessary.
