Does A Fever Caused By A Fall Signify Brain Injury?

I have a friend whose 2.5 year old son fell and hit his face on the floor in the last couple of hours. His nose bled a little and is swollen but does not appear broken. However, he has developed a fever which my friend is treating with meds. Is fever after a fall something to be concerned about? Is it a sign of brain injury?
