Does A Negative ELISA Test Mean Absence Of HIV Infection?

HI doc, I had acute hiv sympton since 2 months past exposure. Symtoms are continue till now. I tested negative at 4 and 7 months for last exposure with Elisa and EIA test. Can i forget about hiv now? can it turns to positive after 1 year? thanks for your advice

thank you for query.if the tests have come negative at 4 and 7 months it means that there is no antibody against HIV and you are free of HIV.repeated tests increase the sensitivity.so the chances are almost nil for you to have HIV.and you can allay fears of HIV .and it is not necessary for repeat test.The symptoms you have is not clear it may be nonspecific and due to any other disease or anxiety.
