Does A Soft, Mobile Swelling In Armpit Require Immediate Medical Attention?
I have a blue mark in my left armpit less than 1cm in diameter. I had noticed it before but a week ago noticed that it had not gone away. On closer repeated examination since there is a soft, mobile and variable swelling of similar size. It varies in size (increasing for instance if I hold my arms above my head). It subsides but never goes away. There is no colouring or swelling in my right armpit or anywhere else on my body. I have had no viral or bacterial infection local or not in recent months. I have made an appointment to see my doctor but my appointment is not for 10 days. Is there anything I should do in the meantime or do I need more urgent medical attention?
