Does A Spinal Tap Procedure Cause Discomfort In The Legs?

My granddaughter had a spinal tap when she was 6 months old. Now at 1 1/2 I’ve been noticing more and more that when she’s in a car seat she seems very agitated. Legs can’t be still and even seems to be in some sort of discomfort. Could there be a connection or an I over reacting to a busy feet antsy girl?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Her current symptoms are not related to the lumbar puncture. She would need a proper evaluation by a neurologist and a pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
