Does A Swollen Sore Spot From A Fall Indicate Injury To My Hip Bone?
I am 65 years old. I have had 5 back surgeries. I went to see my grandson s football game tonight. I tripped when walking up the grandstands. I fell very hard and now I have a a very sore spot about the size of a baseball on the upper part of my hip. It is swollen and I can t stand the pain when I touch that area. I am wondering if something could have happened to my hip bone. I am in pretty good health except for having so many surgeries. It has been about 7 years since the last surgery.
Hi,Welcome to healhcaremagic. After going through your query I think you got injury hip as you have tenderness on hip. If you are not able to bear weight on it than it is likely to be fractured. You have to got its x-x-ray done to confirm it. Till then you have to treat it as soft tissue injury. Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen and rest. I think I have answered your question. If you have any clarification that please don't hesitate to contact us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
