Does Anal Blood Discharge Prior To A Procedure Need Immediate Medical Attention?

I am having a capsule endoscopy in the morning (7 hrs).... I have been doing my prep all night and was doing fine. I got to the point where my BM's were pure liquid, which is where I needed to be... I was pretty empty. Then I had to run back to the bathroom and I had another BM but it was almost pure blood. It was so much that the blood in the toilet looked like the blood in the tubes when you get blood drawn. I want to know if I should wait till the morning when I go to get my procedure done or if I should go to the hospital now?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to hemorrhoids.
If the hemorrhage doesn't stop I suggest you to go to the emergency room as soon as possible for further treatment.

Hope my answer was helpful!
