Does Ankle Sprain With Foot Knot And Pain Need Crutches?

Yes, i sprained my ankle on 8/28/2014. Went to doctor and was given the converse boot, but declined crutches, because of the pain they cause under arm. Now, I have a big knot on the side of my foot and it hurts to walk. Foot is still bruised and I m still practicing the RICE method. Should I request crutches and a specialist at this point?

Hi,

I have read your query.

If while wearing converse boot, you have pain under arm, then you can have boot pop cast. It is only upto your middle leg.

Alone RICE treatment will not help.

Take aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase three times a day by discussing it with your family doctor.
