Does C-section Have Increased Chance For Postpartum Hemorrage?

I had postpartum hemorage due to uterine atony. What are the chance of it happening again with future pregnancies? Because it was so traumatic and painful, my doctor is going to allow me to have a c-section. However, I just read that a c-section increase the chances of a PPH.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

It is true that a c-section increases the chance of PH, but your doctor should be prepared for this and have a suitable approach for the same.

As you have been diagnosed with uterine atony, the best option is a c-section.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
