Does Colsprin Reduce Stomach Pain After Diagnosed With Bone Tuberculosis?
sir my mother was diagnosed with bone tb last year though her health has normalised but she still complains of sharp pain in her stomach doctor has prescribed colsprin 100 , i would like to know whether it actually alleviates pain ,coz it hasn't shown any effect so far......
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, If I would be doctor of this case then I would try to find out the underlying cause of abdomen pain, if the patient has the Tubercular lesion of bone then it may not give abdominal pain or it may not be the symptoms of tuberculosis particularly of bone lesion. The most common cause of abdomen pain could be colic, gastritis, hyperacidity and these need to be ruled out, try to avoid colsprin it may increase the gastritis. Advise:- Ultrasonography, plain x ray of abdomen, routine blood and urine test Medication:- Dicyclomine as per need for abdomen pain Omeprazole 40 mg once in day hope this information helps.
