Does Constipation Cause Diarrhea And Frequent Throwing Up?

My boyfriend has been puking and having diarhea for about 4 days now, we went to our doctors yesterday and they said he was constipated and to take dolcolax. They alo gave him pills to help the throwing up.. Every 10 minutes or so he has to go puke and have diahrea. I'm thinking it is something other than constipation? But how long do we wait now until we go back to doctors/ER?

I really appreciate your concern, if the diarrhea is due to the medicine taken then wait for some time and it will be alright soon, but care needs to be taken for dehydration else it is nothing to worry, the condition not being improved then you will have to see the ER hope this information helps.
