Does Cortisone Shots Lead To Infertility?

My husband has two hierniated disks in his back and received a cortisone shot. We are trying to have a baby and got told by a family member that cortisone shots lead to infertility. Is this true? My husband is still in pain and needs another cortisone shot but we want to make sure these injections will not lead to infertility.

Dear User,

Thanks for using health care magic.

From the available description it appears that the cause of infertility may be either injury to his back or cortisone injection. What your doctor told is true at time being but this problem is reversible after discontinuation of cortisone.
In my view at this stage you can concentrate more on his recovery rather than having a baby if you are under 35 years.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks
