Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

His symptoms could be related to different possible disorders: dementia, depression or psychosis, or epilepsy seizures.
For this reason, it would be necessary consulting with a psychiatrist for a careful mental examination and some cognitive tests.
A brain MRI and an EEG are necessary too.
Further blood lab tests (complete blood count, fasting glucose, blood electrolytes, thyroid hormone levels) are needed to exclude any possible triggering factors.
You should discuss with his doctor on these tests.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
