Does Discontinuing Prednisone Intake Cause Any Side-effects?

Hello, My name is Vanessa , I am a 53 year old female, I have been on 40 mg of Prednisone since Sept.2014, my Doctor has taking me off of them a little bit at a time, I have been off of them for 3 days now, My question is what are the side effects after I have stop taking them ?

If you are using the steroids to help reduce an inflammatory response or to suppress the immune system then it is possible that there maybe a flare up of the condition.

This is the main possible side effect that can occur as a result of discontinuation.
