Does Diverticulitis Cause Pain Under The Ribcage?

I had a colonoscopy a few years ago and was told I have a minor case of diverticulitis. Haven't really had trouble with it much. However, I have pain, more like a soreness, under my left ribcage just above my waistline. is this a location that could be affected by diverticulitis?

Hello dear, welcome to the health care magic.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Yes the mentioned location pain suggestive of diverticulitis or colitis. If I am your treating physician than for diverticulitis I suggest you to take more fiber diet and ciprofloxacin like antibiotic course.

If no improvement than USG abdomen or colonoscopy like suitable investigation can be planned.

Hope I have answered your question and let me know if I can assist you further.
