Does Exercise Help In Treating The Bladder Leakage?

I had surgery last year saxropexy. I guess I spelled that correctly. I have visited my urologist and he assured me that I did not need another sling but I m having leakage and he would do another type of procedure to build up my bladder for support. I m wondering if I tried doing some Kegle exercises would help, before I did anything else. I m 57 years old. But would hate to start having to go through another procedure if I could avoid it. Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The second procedure of surgery may be of need as per the laxity of the pelvic outlet or perineum muscle supporting the bladder.

* Certain anal tone exercises and Kegel can help to a certain extent in the cases where the amount of laxity is not that severe; so it would be better to self evaluate the things with clinical progress as per the improvement of the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
