Does Eyesight Get Negatively Affected Due To Continuous Use Of Wellbutrin?

I have been on Wellbutrin for many many years. Just lately I have noticed that my eyesight is not what it used to be.....I find I cannot see road signs, etc clearly until they are very close. Had my eyes checked.....new script.....but the problem persists. I am a 68 year old female. I just now read that vision changes may be due to Wellbutrin....could my problem be related to the bupoprion?

Hi,

For you question, the answer is yes. Wellbutrin can cause changes in vision. Many other anti depressants also can cause it. So consult ophthalmologist and let him evaluate then he can suggest you best among drugs available for your problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar
