Does Fish Vaginal Odor Caused By Phentermine?

Hi. I have been taking Phentermine for two months. I noticed a fishy vaginal odor after the first month. I was treated with an anti bacteria medicine Rx ed from my doctor and the smell went away. But the smell is coming back. Can the Phentermine be causing this odor? It is super embarrassing.

Hello,

It is not related to pheniramine. The symptoms are more likely suggestive of infective causes like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection.

Consult a gynaecologist and get a vaginal swab done to confirm the diagnosis. We have to rule out other possibilities also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
