Does Food Poisoning Cause Skin Rash On The Abdomen?

My wife has vomited three times and has diarrhea. She now has a rash of small red spots on her abdomen. Any idea what this might be? We would normally talk with our GP but they are not available because of hurricane Harvey. Regards Stressed out in Houston

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your problem.

As per your history it seems to me either food poisoning and a unrelated furancle, it can also be salmonella typhae infection.

If the diarrhea is more then two days and the stools are loose and mustard color, you need to visit a general physician..

During mean time make sure she takes much fluids with ORS so that she be kept hydrated. If she feels too much dizzy and unconscious you need to take her emergency room otherwise no need.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further to ask.

Regards
