Does Fractured Wrist Without A Cast Cause Any Health Problem?

My husband has very badly fractured his wrist, and will need to have a metal plate inserted. He has now a splint with ace bandage until the operation. This fracture occurred six days ago. We are flying tomorrow evening, about a three hour flight. He had a complete checkup today. He has low blood pressure and no heart problems but. He does have parkinsons and rheumatoid arthritis. He is 76. Does a fractured wrist not yet in a cast pose any undue risks?

once in protective splint and brace rather healing of swelling and inflammation is better as it is restricting movements of wrist and no harm shall come till surgery or reduction of fracture and fixation is undertaken and not unsafe to wait 7-10 days.
