i am progressively developing muscle weakness and tremor in my hands and arms, have severe painful cramps in my calves, shins and feet at night, body stiffness all the time. I have been on Galvus Met twice a day for 3 years now. i am also hypertensive and hypothyroid with GERD. I take Fortzaar, Aldactone-A 25mg, Byscard 2.5mg, Euthyrox .5mg, Omeprazole twice a day, and 15 units Lantus. Do you think the muscle weakness and tremors could be side effects of Galvus? i have multiple other health problems but this is the most bothersome at the moment.
Hello, Although GALVUS can cause muscle weakness and fatigue but it is rare side effect. There are other reasons also present in you which can cause muscle weakness and tremors,like... Aldactone can cause electrolyte disturbance. Uncontrolled hypothyroidism Deficiency of VIT D Deficiency of calcium due to consumption of eltroxin Deficiency of VIT B 12 due to longterm consumption of metformin and OMEPRAZOLE Uncontrolled diabetes You should consult your doctor for thorough investigations and find the cause for it. Thanks
