Does Gas, Bloating And Passing Of Soft Doughy Stools Indicate Stomach Virus?
Hi, I had what I think was a stomach virus, diarrhoea and cramping about a week and a half ago but my stomach is still very unsettled. Lots of gas and bloating, nausea and gurgling. It feels very uncomfortable at times. Im passing very soft doughy stools that are very foul smelling and quite light in colour. Does this mean I still have the virus and whay can I do to help my stomach settle.
Should take:
- antacids to stabilize stomach pH
- probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- simethicone for bloating
- tasectan or pepto bismol to stop diarrhea
- follow BRAT diet (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast).
If still no improvement, should consult with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
