Does Gastric Problem Cause Chest Pain And Dizziness?

Hello Doctor

I am 27 years old. I had a health check 6 months and there wasnt any problem reported. Prior to that I had a bit of colestrol which is reduced. Currently I am staying at AUS. From 4 months I have this acidity problem and also some time pain at my left chest. I usually go to play cricket. But after staying in the Sun for some time I feel dizziness. After a while taking rest it seems to be fine. Now a day I feel some pain in the center of the chest below the rib. But this is also very occasional. Are these related to Gastric Problems!! or it is something different

Hi,

Acidity problem might be related to stomach hyperacidity or faulty food habits, use of carbonated drinks, Stress and anxiety or use of certain drugs like NSAIDS, smoking and alcohol consumption.

For acidity I would advise you to take antiacidity medicine like Pantoprazole or Ranitidine group of drugs with antacids for 4-5 days and you should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food and carbonated beverages. Dizziness while staying under the sun might be related to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances owing to less fluid intake or more sweating.

I would advise you to take lots of fluids when you enter in the ground. Glucose water and fruit juices will definitely help. You should do warm exercises as well.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question and I will be happy to help you.

Best wishes,
Dr. B R Hudda
