Does Going On A Gluten Free Diet Cause Severe Headaches?

Hi, I ve had really bad headaches, stomachaches and muscle and joint pain as long as I can remember, so one of my coworkers suggested I go gluten free to see if I m allergic. I ve done that for 2 days now, and I ve had a headache that hasn t gone away for the same amount of time. Is this just a normal symptom of going gluten free or could this make me feel worse?

Hi,

Gluten-free diet won't cause a headache so don't worry. A headache may be due to an anxiety or a tension headache or anaemia or allergy etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Tramadol with Paracetamol twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
