Does Hand Syndactyly Or Poland Syndrome Repeat Itself In The Next Pregnancy?
Ho there my first baby was born with syndactily of his left hand. It is believed he may have poland syndrome however it has not been diagnosed yet because he is so young. If i was to try for a second child what are the chances he or she will have the same problem? Thank you
The chances of Poland syndrome repeating in the next pregnancy are quite less as most of the time, this is caused by a oneoff event during early pregnancy. There have been no definite gene links to this condition. however, very rarely as in all things in nature, exceptions may occur
