Does Having Zoloft For An Extended Period Of Time Cause Weight Gain?

Does having Zoloft for an extended period of time cause wt. gain? I eat heathy and I am physically active although I don't do exercise regularly, my wt. has been steadily increasing for the past 3 years. I have been on 50-100 mg of Zoloft per day for 10 years now.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Zoloft may not have the property of weight gain. But due to the slowing down of activity, one can have weight gain.
what ever the reason, the steps of weight control are the same.
Avoid the calories, fats, oils, junk foods, fleshy fruits like guava, and banana.
Practice, morning walk, yoga, gardening, and house hold works like cleaning, keeping things in order etc.
Minimize the sleeping time, practice late to bed, and early to rise. Avoid the day time sleep.
