Hi there and welcome,

Well its really unfortunate to get hit in head like that.

From your description, looks like you've had a mild traumatic head injury and in due course you might experience some headache and dizziness, soreness over the injured area .

Don't worry, all you need to do now is to take rest. Avoid indulging into any kind of strenuous activity (jogging/ jym /driving/ handling heavy machineries etc.)

You don't need any investigations now, just apply some Ice-pack / bag of frozen peas over the bruise and keep yourself under strict observation for the next 24Hrs. If you feel like getting too many dizzy-spells/fits/loss of consciousness/sudden severe vomiting etc. then you need to check into your nearest ER and get a CT-Head (and not X-Ray) done at the earliest.

Otherwise just stay at home and do as I've already advised and you'll be fine in 2-3 days(though the bruise'll take time to heal(7-10 days depending on the impact of the force)

Thanks al lot for contacting HCM and let me know how you stay in your next follow-up
