Does High Bp Induce Nausea & Dizziness ?

I have high blood pressure - treated with citalopram. Sometimes when I have a bowel movement I feel faint, naseaus, and get VERY HOT. Uusually after that I develop a nasty headache. Do you think the blood pressure is a factor in those other symptoms?

Hello!

Thank you for trusting HCM!

Usually low blood pressure may cause giddiness and vomiting. But high blood pressure may also lead to headaches, nosebleeds, dizziness, a flushed face, and fatigue. Hypertensive emergency may cause end organ damage lead to stroke with raised ICT may cause nausea and vomiting. Probably you're suffering from defecation syncope also. You need to consult your doctor for ambulatory blood pressure monitor and further follow up.

Take care
