Hi
Hydrochlorothiazide decreases the effectiveness of metride(Glimepiride). But some physicians use that in low doses. The choice of any medication depends on indications and benefits outweighing to avoid it or change to another drug. You should get a regular follow up with your physician. If you have any discomfort or uncontrolled sugar then you can have a word with your physician. But dont change the medication without your physicians advice.Hope this may help you.Let me know if you have any further query.
thanks
