Does Hypertension Cause Extreme Exhaustion?

Not me, my husband. Has suffered for years from hypertension. In recent days, his feet have swollen, and he is experiencing bouts of extreme exhaustion. (on the other hand, he has mown our fairly large lawn). The bouts of exhaustion seem to pass after an hour in bed.

Hi welcome to HCM
I understand your query and concern.
Hypertension with swollen feet suggests congestive cardiac failure. So get investigations like ECG,2D echo, lipid profile, serum electrolytes, serum creatinine, blood urea to confirm the diagnosis. Also monitor blood pressure regularly.Drugs like anti hypertensives ,lipid lowering srugs will help.Salt restricted low fat diet will be helpful in your case.Consult your ardiologists for expert management and review with reports.Post your further queries if any.Thankyou
