Does Increased Dosage Of Citalopram Cause Tiredness And Excess Sweating?

Hello, lately over past couple of months i have been feeling really tired, aswell as when getting up in morning have been dripping sweat with bed very wet with sweat, my dr recintly increased the strength off my citalopram tablets i take for depression from 10mg to 20mg, any connection?

Hello, greetings! Thanks for your query. Citalopram belongs to a class of drugs called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). Overusage of this drug may lead to symptoms like, sweating, fatigue, diarrhoea, changes in blood pressure. I suggest you consult your psychiatrist to reduce/modify your dose accordingly.
