Does Increasing Ibuprofen Dosage Cause Elevated BP?
Hello, I have very bads knees, (from 30 years of running). My doctor has suggested I increase my use of daily Ibuprofen. Can this raise my BP. Since I have increased the meds, I have felt flushed, my eyes feel like they are popping , I am already on BP medicine
All NSAIDs (non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory-drugs) may increase the blood pressure. They may also affect other things in your body like your renal function, etc.
If your blood pressure is not under control it's very likely that it will get worse. Even if it is under control it may rise to higher levels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis,
