Does Increasing Dosage Of Lisinop/HCTZ 20-25mg Cause Fatigue?
I have been having trouble with high blood pressure and my physician doubled my blood pressure medicine. Since then, I have felt so sluggish and tired and I can hardly go. Could this be the cause? I am taking Lisinop/HCTZ 20-25mg. She does not work on Fridays therefore I cannot ask her.

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and thanks for this query.
Please, what are your blood pressure numbers? If there has been a great drop in these numbers, this may be the cause. Another possibility could be electrolyte as HCTZ causes low potassium levels that may explain the fatigue. For now, report your values before and after treatment to me so that I can look at them and tell whether you need a dose adjustment or not.
Thanks. I wish you well.
