Does Inhalex And Beudecort Respules Cause Side Effect In Breastfeeding Mothers?

My 5 month old son has been prescribed inhalex and beudecort respules thrice and twice a day respectively (1cc:3cc of ns) for bad cold and contricted airways. The literature said that it may do more harm in breastfeeding mothers. He is exclusively breastfed and will not wear the mask so I inhale some of it while trying to nebulise him. Should I be worried really??

Hi,

You do not need to worry at all, continue with the treatment. In such circumstances you would inhale negligible amount (if any) of the drug which poses no risk. The risk is even not great even if the mother uses the cap.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
