Does Intake Of Codeine, Paracetamol And Co-codamol Effervescent Cause Diarrhea?
I have been taking co codamol effervescent with the codeine at 8 mg ahnd the paracetomol at 500 mg for just over a month. I have taken eight tablets a day as prescribed. I have had loose stools and had very bad diarrhoea two nights ago. Could these tablets cause the diarrhoea and loose stools which have made for problems in going out?

Hello,
Co-codamol is known to cause constipation as a side effect but it is not known to give diarrhea. Probably you may be taking any other drug which may be causing the symptoms.
