Does Intake Of Cymbalta, Lipitor And Amlodipine Cause Smell Disorders?

I am 52, female, overweight and peri-menopausal. (No menses since Christmas day!) I have been taking Lisinopril and Amlodipine for quite some time for HTN, and Ultram for Left Hip Arthralgia, I also take Cymbalta for mild anxiety/depression, and an occasional Xanax. Doc just started me on Lipitor 10 mg about 2 weeks ago. Since that time, everything smells salty. At first I thought I was just sweating more, but it s not a body odor smell; it smells kind of like potato chips! I ve had it happen at different places, so I don t think it s environmental, and I ve had people smell me. They say there s no smell. Is this just a weird side effect that I should quit worrying about? (Need I say, I m a nurse?? LOLOL)

Hi,

The smell disorder is not related to your routine medicines.

If symptoms persist you can consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
