Does Intake Of Cold Medications Cause Fluctuating CK Levels?
I m asking the questioon for my husband. He had blood tests last week and his CK level is 311. Last test it was only 96. He has had a double bypass in 2005 and is on a statin, blood thinner, etc. He also has a cold and has been taking cough medicine and a nasal spray. He says he feels fine. He also had a nose bleed twiice during the time he had the cold. Do you think the cold and cold medications have affected his llevles?
High levels of CK are indicating muscle damage and cold medication has nothing to do with this. Kindly consult your treating cardiologist for proper evaluation and treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
