Does Intake Of Protein Powder By A Child Affect Kidneys In Long Run?

HI, my daughter is 11 years old and she was suggested by a doctor to be supplemented with one scoop of protein powder of Nutrilite Amway. But i am afraid whether this protein when goes in excess, will affect her kidneys in the long run? Can u pls clarify the doubt

Protein powders are not an assured way to increase a child's weight, and anyone who tells you to use them to give better growth is practising pseudoscience. Especially if the doctor is also a distributor of something like Amway's products!

Having said that, the usual quantity of protein in most nutritional products is quite small and not enough to produce kidney problems even if used for the entire lifetime of a person. In fact, athletes use protein powders containing far larger quantities of protein and seem to be none the worse for it.
