Does It Require The Scar Tissue To Grow For The Stimulator Implant To Work?

In Feb 2014 I had the Spinal Cord Stimulator implant. I have had several meetings with the St. Jude representative to program the unit to send go to my ribcage. I am told now that it may take the scar tissue to form properly before it will be able to get to where it is needed. I gave up the opiate pain killers in hopes the unit was going to work. Does this scar tissue growth ring true to you?

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

I agree with your doctor on the fact that it is necessary to take the time for the scar tissue to form properly in order to make further re-positioning of the device.
You should just try to be more patient.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes!
