Does Light Brown Blood Indicate Menstruation Or Discharge?

I ve been on my period for a couple weeks now, but I m honestly not even sure if it s a period or discharge. It s been brown and periodically bloody, but very light (which isn t like me). I m not sexually active and have never been to a gynocologist, so this kinda scares me. What could be the issue with me and what should I do? (I m 17 by the way)

You can consult a gynaecologist and get a vaginal swab done to rule out infections. If symptoms persist, you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
