Does Low Dose Of Xarelto Increase Risk Of Reclotting?

I am taking xarelto for a DVT. I have to transition from 10 mg BID to 20 mg once a day. The last day of the 10 mg I only have 1 pill to take. I thought I would have 2. Does this increase my risk for reclotting if I only take 10 mg the day before I start the 20 mg?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It should be a morning and evening dose since you are suppose to take 10mg bid but missing the one dose would not significantly increase your risk for clotting.

The medication would still be present in your system, just at a reduced level.

I hope this helps
