My mother began experiencing RECTAL bleeding today at around 2pm or 3pm. Everytime she goes to pee she feels a wet sensation behind her and when she wipes there s bright red blood on the tissue. She feels her abdomen bloated but no pain whatsoever. She did started taking a new medication yesterday for colitis, she bought it in Mexico. The medication s name is QG5 I believe, but one of it s ingredients says it s Xalxócot. Never heard of it. This medication claims to relax swollen intestines and eliminate colon spasms. This medication wasn t prescribed to her, it is supposed to be a medication given only with prescription but in Mexico they sell it without prescription. Wether it s allowed or not, I m not sure. My concern is that the cause of the bleeding comes as a side effect of this new medication. Can that be it?? Your prompt response will be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU P.S.
