Does Medicines Become Less Effective If Exposed To High Temperature?

I have been diagnosed with bi polar 2 for past ten yrs I m on lamictal tegretol and effexr xr. I was diagnosed with adhd and I m taking 20mg adderall xr.generic. for the first week they worked great felt focused more motivation all around life changing. I keep my mess above the stove in the cubbard so my kids cant reach. Last fri I did a self clean on my oven it went for almost 4 hrs an really high temp it was to hot to touch. Never thought it would make the cubbard so hot but all the meds in there were extremely hot. Since then the meds don t seem to be working all my previous symptoms are back. Is this due to the heat or not on right dose?

Hello
Short Answer: The label on the medicine always says: keep in a cool dry place.
Long answer: Practically all medicines loose their potency with 1) time and 2) Temperature and 3) Associated other medicines kept aside.( this applies to homeopathic medicines)
So one should preserve the medicine in a cool place... preferably a refrigerator, wrap the medicine in a paper, or a cloth or a plastic cover, and the ideal temperature of the place can be 4 degrees to 24 degrees temperature.
Also to add in for knowledge never buy a homeopathic medicine which sells auryedic medicines in the same shop, or lights camphor sticks in the shops or has scents and fragrances selling in the same show, the shop keeper is ignorant that camphor, scents, fragrances, coffee, and some of his own medicines can antidote all medicines.
In short all medicines have their own antidotes and destroying agents. The companies only reveal ..keep the medicine in a cool dry place.
