Does Metformin Cause Shortness Of Breath And Tightening Chest Muscles?

took a 500mg tablet if metformin before my walk could this med cause have shortness of breath. took a 500mg tat of metformin just before my daily morning. could this have cause my chest mussles to tighing upno pain nust hard to breath

NO the metformin must not be responsible for the the effects you mentioned. Rather if you are having the said symptoms its better to get your ECG done to rule out any heart related condition is responsible for the said symptoms. But as far as the metformin is concerned these effects are not caused by metformin. There are chances of the above said event being psychological or acidity induced so you can relax or have one of the antacid medication such as omeprazole 20 mg twice a day before food. But to be on safer side I would suggest you get your ECG done so that all doubts in mind would get settled.
