Does Montek 10mg Have Side Effects?

Hi, doctor my son 9 yrs. old have minor symptom of asthma, within 50-60 days he have cough and breathing problem expecially for changing climate. Now our consulting doctor says to give montek 10mg. tablet for 6 month. I would like to know that is any side effect for this tablet to give continuously.

Hi,

Levocetirizine and Montelukast are safe drugs and do not cause any severe side effects. You can continue the drug once a day at night. Dry mouth, drowsiness, headache and abdominal pain are some of the few side effects. Dehydration and diarrhoea should be prevented by plenty of oral fluids.
