Does Normal HSG Test Mean That Infection Has Not Harmed Body?

Hi. I gave birth 17 months ago. I had a retained placenta for a month before I hemmoragged and had to have a d and c. We have been trying to conceive for a year now with no luck. First baby was the first month. I had a hsg dye test 2 months ago that came back normal. Does that mean everything should be ok then since the hsg test was normal and the infection didn t do any harm?! I m very worried I won t be able to have another baby

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes ma'am. A normal.HSG is good news and reports a normal anatomy of the reproductive system. It is considered normal to not conceive for as long as a year despite everything being normal. But as it has been more than a year since you have been trying you can visit a doctor and get elaborately evaluated to correct anuly minor abmormalities and also learn about your most fertile days and if required even receive fertility increasing medication.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
