if i take 5 tablets of the ochre tabs in logynon and took another 5 tabs after 12 hrs. will it still work as a morning after pill ? i took the first 5 tabs 23 hrs after an unprotected sex then took the next 5 tabs after 12 hrs. oh, i also took one diane-35 pill 6 hrs. after the unprotected sex.
Combined oral contraceptive pills are not an alternative for morning after pill. The contents and dose of both the drugs are totally different. Morning after pill contains high dose of Levonorgesterol. High doses are required for emergency contraception.Combined pills have two hormones at low doses and will take a week for action and hence cannot be used as an emergency contraception.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
