Does One Experience Delay In Periods After First Round Of Clomid ?

im on my first round of clomid and my period is late. im into cd31 n no period i look a home preg test on monday with a negative and did another test today with a negative. but just read i should use the first morning urine. i feel gasy with lower pain and sore nipples as if my period is about to come. i will like to know would your period be late with clomid and how long should i wait to take another preg test?

Hi,

Clomid acts by stimulating ovulation. when there is delayed period after clomid,that means there is either ovulationfollowed by conception,OR the dose given is not sufficient.

If you have -ve UPT you can repeat it after 8 days.any sterrile urine sample is alrigt for UPT,though early morning sample if tested immediately after collection is better. ,pl.visit your Gynac to get your drug schedule altered incase UPT remains -ve..

Welcome to HCM.
You have to take Clomid from D3 to D7 for atleast 3 cycle to regularize ovulaion including your period.
If your period delayed or irregular after that,then do some tests like USG lower abdomen, Thyroid profile, FSH/LH, PPBS ,lipid profile etc to rule out pathology.
First you got your period in time,then do sex in fertile days. If you missed the next period,do preg test after 7 days.
Avoid stress,take healthy diet,do light exercise and maintain hygiene.
