Does Pain, Instability, Stiffness And Osteolysis Despite Knee Replacement Need A Revision?

my 89 y o father had knee replacement 3 years ago and it has now failed based on pain, instability, stiffness and a translucent area on xray signifying osteolysis. ls a revision inevitable or is it possible to tough it out with pain meds and perhaps a cane?

Hi welcome to health care magic. After going through your query I think there is failure of knee replacement. And you should go for revision tkr. Because cane support can not provide you stability of knee. Hope your query has been answered . Thanks .
